ES Connections 2008 is a career networking event hosted by the McCombs Entrepreneur Society focused on giving entrepreneurial minded students a chance to network with companies who encourage entrepreneurship and innovation among their employees.
We will be host to a number of companies looking to hire students as interns or to full-time positions where they will participate in the innovation process and help them grow their businesses. We are currently in the process of contacting companies to participate and sponsor the event. In the past various types of businesses have come: start-ups, established firms, technology focused firms, advertising agencies, alternative energy companies, and more.
This event has been held for the past several years and has been one that students have highlighted as being one of their favorite “club organized” events. Also, every year a number of students network with attending firms and land internships and full time positions. The event is open to all McCombs students and will be held Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. The location is TBA. For those of you looking to pursue non-traditional careers where you can showcase your entrepreneurial side, put this event on your calendar NOW!
