Global Student Entrepreneurial Competition: What’s your big idea?
January 16, 2008 – 6:44 pmHere’s a note from the people at UUNI
Hello,
I’m writing to let you know that December’s early entry winner of $1,000 has just been announced. You can check out the winning entry from Stanford University at our website www.uuni.com just search for the ‘Big Idea’ group. If you haven’t registered yet it only takes a minute.
Don’t fret though as there’s still US$48,000 to be won with a first prize of US$40,000.
The final deadline for first round entries is January 31st.
If you haven’t heard about the ‘Big Idea’ competition before, here’s a brief synopsis. We (uuni.com - a new social, educational and career networking site for students around the world) are working closely with Oxford and Cambridge Universities’ Entrepreneurial societies to run an entrepreneurial competition that brings together the best ideas from students around the world and pits them against each other in a grand finale at the Tate Modern Art Gallery in London, UK. The top six finalists from around the world will be flown all-expenses paid to the UK where they will present their ideas before a panel of business angels and leading London finance industry figures.
All you have to do to enter is submit your idea in 100 words at www.uuni.com/bigidea; the top 25 entries from each region will progress to the next stage of the competition. For further details of the competition and the terms and conditions which will protect confidentiality and intellectual property, please check out www.uuni.com/bigidea and click on the link.
I hope you’ll be able to pass this on to your students or the members of your club, if there’s any more information you would like about the ‘Big Idea’ competition, or uuni.com, or any further help I can offer please don’t hesitate to contact me,
Kind regards
Paul
