About
The Entrepreneur Society is a student organization made up of students and alumni from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas and budding entrepreneurs in the Austin area. The goal of the organization is to use its network and guidance to equip its members with the leadership skills to successfully manage a business or business unit. Through access to expert faculty, successful entrepreneurs, venture capital sources, and interactive events, students are exposed to the cross-functional skills necessary to become a value creator in an organization, including analytical thinking, problem solving, and the development and launch of new products.
We have three main responsibilities to our members and the community at-large:
- Academics – To make sure that the entrepreneurship curriculum is adequately developed, funded, and staffed such that it maintains its position as at least a Top 10 MBA program in Entrepreneurship in the United States, and to collaborate with University Administration to improve our entrepreneurship education.
- Networking – To create innovative events that allow members to meet leaders in the entrepreneurship community in a forum that is exploratory and conducive to success.
- Professional Development – To help students develop skills necessary to become effective leaders within entrepreneurial teams.
Membership in the Entrepreneur Society is open to everyone. Dues are $60 for a lifetime membership.
